Yes, we engrave Bakelite — and no, we’re not sorry.
We know some folks treat Bakelite mags like relics… but we see them for what they are: beautifully made tools begging for a little personality. So yes — we laser-engrave them. And they look damn good when we do.
Due to the nature of Bakelite (read: mildly toxic when vaporized), these jobs require industrial filtration setups to keep our lungs intact. Those filters don’t come cheap — which is why this service costs more than our standard mags. We’re not charging for the controversy — we’re charging for the science.
If you want a Bakelite mag with custom art, we’ve got you. Send us yours, or ask about our limited stock when available. Whether it’s a Slavic meme, sacred symbol, or a tactical troll job — we’ll make it permanent.

Note: You break it, we don’t replace it. These are fragile and we treat them with care — but it’s on you to understand what you’re sending in.
Once you make your purchase, you will receive an email with a shipping label to send in your mags.
In that same email, there will be a request to upload artwork. Keep it as clean simple as possible. We have laser engravers, not magic wands. We may email you for a better resolution image if needed.
On Bakelites, there is only one color option, black.
On Plum mags, the engraving is bright tan/white
So, the cleaner the original graphics, the cleaner the engraving will be.
